Emmitt Smith Net Worth $26 Million

Emmitt Smith is a retired American football player with an estimated net worth of $26 million. He was born Emmitt James Smith III on May 15, 1969 in Pensacola, Florida, USA. He was named the USA Today and Parade magazine high school player of the year in 1986. He was named a first-team SEC choice for 36 months and SEC Player of the Year, was a unanimous first-team All American, and finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy balloting. He was inducted to the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame as a “Gator Excellent” in 1999 along with the Gator Football Ring of Honor as well as the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006. Regarded as among the best and the single most complete running back in NFL history, he became the league’s all time rushing leader and broke the record held by Walter Payton. He’s also one of just four running backs to lead the NFL in rushing three or more successive seasons along with Steve Van Buren, Jim Brown and Earl Campbell. Emmitt Smith is among the two non-kickers in NFL history to have scored more than 1,000 career points, the other being from Jerry Rice. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010, the primary player from the 1990 NFL Draft to be inducted. Smith also played for the Arizona Cardinals between 2003 and 2004. He declared his retirement in February 2005 as well as the Cardinals relieved him from his contract. He signed a one-day take care of the Cowboys to get a dollar so he could retire in the match as an associate of the team which he made his name with. After retirement, he revealed his dancing abilities in 2006 when he appeared on the 3rd season of Dancing with the Stars along with Cheryl Burke. He now serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Emmitt Smith Enterprises, an umbrella business of a host of firms taking the Emmitt Smith brand.
