Garth Brooks Net Worth $150 Million

He offten sang in casual family settings but his primary focus was athletics. In high school, he played football and baseball and ran track and field. He received a track scholarship to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he competed in the javelin and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Thanks to his college roommate who played the guitar, got him interested into music. Later that year he started playing for clubs and bars and decided to take up music as a career option. Garth Brooks first got his break when entertainment attorney Rod Phelps drove all the way just to listen to him and decided to give the chance. To date, Garth Brooks has released a total of 12 studio albums, six of which achieved diamond status in the U.S. He has won two Grammy awards, 15 American Music Awards, 11 CMA Awards, and numerous others. Emerging on the scene and becoming a near immediate success, Brooks has sold nearly 150 million albums worldwide. The Recording Industry Association of America lists Brooks as the top selling solo artist of the 1900s. Since Elvis Presley’s early records were not closely tracked, this record may actually be number two instead of number one. The 90’s were a rage when it came to country music, thanks Garth Brooks and his amazing songs. Tipped as the best country artist across the globe, he has outsold almost all the artists in this genre complete with his live concerts. From ‘The Dance’ to ‘Much Too Young,’ this is our list of the Top 10 Garth Brooks Songs that we feel best defines his amazing career in music. And not to forget the best of his works, if Tomorrow Never Comes.

He is probably the only solo artist in history to have sold 10 million or more copies of 4 individual albums, and has publicly announced that he wants to be the first artist to sell 100 million albums. His last album, Scarecrow, came out 13 November 2001. When his 1991 album ‘Ropin’ the Wind’ topped the Billboard pop chart, it became the first country album ever to do so. During his long hiatus, he sold his music exclusively through WalMart after splitting with Capitol Records back in June 2005. The first item coming is a boxed set entitled ‘The Limited Series,’ which released on November 25, 2005. His very first single, ‘Much Too Young,’ was a country top 10 success and the albums that were revealed consecutively spent a minimum of 23 weeks as number one on the Billboard country music chart. His second album reached number 3 on the pop chart, and eventually became Brooks’s highest-selling album, with domestic shipments of 17 million. Brooks along with his music was great a concert entertainer. He performed five sold out concerts over two days at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on January 25 and 26, 2008. In total 400,000 tickets were sold for about €28,600,000. He went on to become the first person to play 5 sold out shows at Croke Park. On November 5, 2007, Brooks was again named the best selling solo artist in US history, surpassing Presley after audited sales of 123 million were announced. As of January 2012, Brooks officially passed the Beatles as the top-selling act of the past 20 years, moving 68.5 million units worldwide, almost 5 million more than the Beatles.
His achievements:
2 Grammy Awards (total of 14 nominations)
17 American Music Awards (including “Artist of the ’90s” won in 2000)
11 Country Music Association Awards
18 Academy of Country Music Awards
5 World Music Awards
10 People’s Choice Awards
24 Billboard Music Awards

He played 5 sold out shows in 2 days at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to raise money for victims of the recent wildfires and to fund future firefighting efforts. Brooks, along with his wife Trisha Yearwood, has always been an ardent supporter of Habitat for Humanity’s work over the years, including the annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. The both of them have worked alongside the Carters in the United States and in Haiti, lending their time and voices to help build safe, decent and affordable homes. Brooks’ Teammates for Kids Foundation provided more than $1 million in funding to Habitat to help build homes in Thailand following the Asian tsunami. Divorce that cost him a fortune. Garth got married to his high school sweetheart in the year 1986 but the marriage was not deemed to last forever as the both decided to part ways in the year 2000 which went down as the costliest divorce of all times which made him pay around $125 million. He later married his fellow artist Trisha Yearwood in the year 2005. Although the couple mostly stays in Oklahoma, Garth Brooks has got sprawling mansions in Florida, California, Nasville and Tennessee.
