Iman Bio/Wiki 2017

The 55-year old Somalian beauty and wife of David Bowie started her career in 1975 when blue eyed blonds (Farrah, Cheryl) were hot. In 1994 she began Iman Cosmetics for women of colour. Ten years after the company invented a licensing and distribution deal with Procter & Gamble, and now the line is sold globally. In July 2010 Iman found a home decor line sold exclusively through Calico Corners and Calico House. She also has a line of clothes and accessories, sold on HSN, and hosts The Fashion Show, which Bravo began as a means to fill the void left when Heidi Klum’s Project Runway deserted to Lifetime.
