Now in high school, he plays on the varsity basketball team. Nicknamed “The Young Master”, Schnabel is an avid explorer and outdoorsman. He means to focus on geology or mining studies in school as he meant to returning in running the household mine. When his grandfather stepped down, he took over the day-to-day operations of the mine. Yet, he had trouble getting his crew to follow his rule. He still follows the guidance of his grandfather along with another relatives. Parker is among the subjects of the Discovery Channel series Gold Rush Alaska or merely known as Gold Rush. Schnabel’s contribution in the series is celebrated for the episodes in which he tried to help the miners at the Porcupine Creek claim, only to find which they understood next to nothing about what they were doing.
